Introduction

This document describes how to 'pick' a sales or purchase order without using a terminal. 

Description

Settings

Enable communication method File or the setting Ask user in the appropriate WMS settings, for instance in System, General, Settings, E-WMS Sales Order Fulfillment. 

Export to file

Now start the Control Center, select an order and press (Advice +) Send to scanner, select communication method File and press Start.

Now a file ZNDORDER.DAT has been created in the communication folder. 

Edit file

Edit ZNDORDER.DAT using Notepad or another text editor, following changes have to be made:

• place a "0" at position 82 of all "K" lines and remove rest of the line
• replace "0.000" with quantities picked

Go to the line(s) starting with "K" (order header, one per order), at position 82 (digit "1"), replace the "1" with a "0" and delete the rest of the line:

Now replace all quantities picked "0.000" with the expected (or more or less) quantity to pick:

Save the file as ORDER.DAT. After that, you may want to make copy of this file as it will be deleted on reading back. 

Read back

In the Control Center, select status picking and press Read from scanner. Again, select communication method File.

The status of the picked lines after reading back depend on your WMS settings.
